$2,981.  Combat Wounded Green Beret is in the middle of being medically retired from service. He fell behind on family finances when inpatient treatment and the stress aggravated his condition. Went to Army Emergency Relief Fund, but A

ER wanted full repayment in two months based on medical board. This would cause a hardship as he is getting out of the military. Both of the family’s vehicles are inoperative – we paid for repairs on both. Ft Bragg NC.

$3,775.  Green Beret has participated on multiple combat tours overseas. During these tours he was exposed to multiple explosive incidents and intense operations. The medical effects of the explosive incidents and psychological effects of the intense operations slowly manifested themselves over extended periods of time. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and PTSD. Currently at Walter Reed as an inpatient for treatment. He has a 16 year old son in his home, currently being cared for by a relative while he and his wife are focused on his treatment. Overdue and needed monthly bills are: mortgage: $1810, car payment: $385, Electricity: $300 (this includes last month bill and a late fee) cell phone: $400 (this includes last month bill and a late fee), cable/internet: $180 (this includes last month bill and a late fee) gas (for home/stove): $100, food/groceries: $600 (roughly $150 per week).
